Curb-Mounted Skylights are installed on top of a wooden frame or “curb”. The curb is attached to the roof and made watertight, then the skylight is secured to the top of the curb. Think of it as a shoebox: the curb is the box and the skylight is the top. Curb-mounted skylights are the most common installation method for low-slope or flat roofs.
